Sometimes I wish I was a monkey, so I could swing through the trees.

And TOTALLY unrelated to the above, I assure you.

Driving a car with the stereo on, in a comfortably climate controlled environment, and the mild vibrations coming through the seat, lulls one in a way similar to watching TV in a comfortable chair. All the passive entertainment venues we have today are an opiate. (Religion has been surpassed by 500 cable channels and the internet.) We are drugged, pacified, and stupified, but entertained. We are a society of watchers, leaving the powerful doers to do as they please. We won’t object, our show is on.
